OPERATIONS MANAGER, MARINE SERVICESASI Marine, a division of ASI Group Ltd., provides industries and governments worldwide with leading-edge underwater services focused on the assessment, maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction of underwater infrastructure and environments. More specifically, ASI Marine specializes in commercial diving, underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) operations, marine hydrographic surveys, and hyperbaric support operations for tunnel construction throughout Canada and the US.Our certified commercial divers, professional engineers and technicians are backed by specialized dive support systems, hyperbaric systems and a fleet of advanced robotic vehicles, providing industry the latest in sonar and video imaging, survey and inspection technologies, and hyperbaric interventions.We are currently searching for an Operations Manager for our Head Office in Stoney Creek.The Operations Manager for Dive Services will optimize daily operations and planning of commercial diving projects across Ontario. Responsible for efficient resource management, ensuring safety, and maintaining high productivity standards, the OM will collaborate closely with project stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and exceed client expectations.Key Responsibilities:Manage and schedule personnel for projects, ensuring effective communication and timely deployment.Oversee onboarding, training, and compliance of personnel, maintaining operational readiness.Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, mobilize, and execute projects effectively.Develop and improve project workflows and efficiencies within commercial diving operations.Ensure compliance with provincial, territorial, and international diving regulations and safety standards.Manage specialized diving equipment, overseeing maintenance, repair, and compliance.Job Duties:Assist with the pre-project risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.Manage staffing, and equipment resources.Support Project Managers on proposal development, budgeting, and project estimating.Coordinate with Project Managers and operations team for successful project execution.Foster effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to health and safety protocols.Knowledge and Skills Required:Experience in marine operations and relevant Ontario regulations and CSA Standards is an asset.Strong operational planning skills with a focus on client management and project delivery.Ability to pivot frequently to respond to changing needs of clients.Proficient in risk management, cost control, and union labor relations.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Technical proficiency in Windows 365 environment and relevant software applications.Educational Qualifications and Experience:Commercial Diving and Supervisor Certificates accredited by Diver Certification Board of Canada (an asset).Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the marine industry.First Aid/CPR and O2 Provider qualification (an asset)Hours of Work and Travel:Travel up to 35% within Canada.Primarily Monday to Friday business hours, with flexibility for weekend work and on-call scheduling.Ability to take calls and adjust schedules in off business hoursSalary will be commensurate with experience.Join our team and lead the way in marine service excellence with ASI!
