Overview:Teddyville Daycare, a reputable Daycare centre, is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to join our team. The Supervisor will play a crucial role in leading a team of high-quality care professionals and education to young children in a nurturing environment. - Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Daycare centre to ensure a safe and stimulating environment for children.- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities that promote learning and development.- Supervise and support educators in providing personalized care to each child based on their individual needs.- Collaborate with parents and guardians to address any concerns or special requirements regarding their children's care.- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and health status.- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and uphold Teddyville Day-care's standards of excellence in childcare.
- - Responsible for the delivery of an early childhood education program and for the day-to-day operations of a child care centre.
- - Ensure the consistent implementation and application of programs and licensing standards in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 of Ontario.
- - Evaluate the delivery of child care services.
- - Responsible for operational matters including the overall supervision, operation and administration of a child care centre (client services, human resources, program budget and facility management).
- - Advise on risk management strategies and stay current on latest research related to child care programs and early childhood development

- Skills:
- Proficient in caregiving techniques and early childhood education principles.
- - Strong knowledge in MS Office suite and able to work with advanced Excel sheets.
- Ability to educate and engage young children effectively.- Prior experience working with children in a classroom or Daycare setting.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- - Competent administrator in all areas of program delivery, facility requirements, customer service and employee management.
- - Ability to research, formulate recommendations and present reports to Director.
- - Effective organizational and administration skills, i.e. budget management and time management and ability to monitor expenditures, make adjustments as required and complete purchasing.
- - Interview, supervise, train and evaluate staff.
- - Coach, support, motivate, lead and build teams.
- - Resolve conflict situations/provide crisis intervention.
- - Recognize employee capabilities, practice appropriate delegation and effectively allocate resources.
- - Adapt well to change and lead the staff through the change process.
- - Use innovative approaches to solving issues and/or bringing conflicting points of view to consensus.
- - Establish effective working relationships with people of diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively analyse issues and resolve problems/conflicts though negotiation and mediation to facilitate realistic and innovative solutions.
- - Possess strong decision making skills, i.e. gathering information, setting of priorities, providing direction and sound judgement.
- - Mediation/problem-solving, i.e. staff and clients crisis management.
- - Effective planning skills, defining goals and objectives priority setting.
- - Ability to identify child care needs, evaluate and propose relevant programming.

- - Interpret and apply legislative requirements and corporate policies, procedures, guideline and collective agreements.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
