Job Description Our client, a well-established non-profit organization, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team on a remote, permanent basis. The Payroll Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate processing of payroll for employees while adhering to relevant regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate impeccable attention to detail, proficient numerical skills, and a commitment to upholding confidentiality standards. Responsibilities: Assist in facilitating the precise and timely processing of new hires, terminations, and other employment status changes. Accurately input employee information and payroll data into the payroll system. Process promotions, terminations, pay adjustments, and bonus payments with precision. Maintain meticulous payroll records, including employee data, deductions, and tax information. Participate actively in payroll audits and furnish required documentation as necessary. Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding payroll or benefits promptly and professionally. Prepare and reconcile payroll taxes, WCB, WSIB, and EHT payments accurately. Foster effective communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including third-party agencies and service providers. Serve as a subject matter expert on Time and Attendance systems in relation to Payroll functions. Assist in year-end payroll activities, including T4 processing and distribution, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations. Administer assigned group benefits plans, including setup of new members, processing benefit changes, calculating payroll deductions/taxable benefits, and ensuring timely completion of benefit-related paperwork. Develop, implement, and support innovative and efficient payroll practices and procedures. Qualifications: Possession of PCP Certification. Demonstrated track record of at least 3 years in a Payroll Administrator or similar role, showcasing comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle payroll practices and procedures. Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions like Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and HLOOKUPs. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry processes. Strong organizational and time management abilities. University or College diploma/degree in finance or accounting is advantageous. Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
