We are looking for an Director of Finance to join our Finance & Accounting team in Ville Saint-Laurent and who will share our Company values.

What You’ll Be Contributing:

  • Act as a trusted financial business partner and adviser, influencing the day-to-day decisions, shaping strategy and the direction for the Consolidated Group, including identifying and presenting financial and operational KPI and other business metrics to drive effective decision-making.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Group consolidated financial information and reporting destined for the executive team, shareholders, and other external users (Actuals, Budgets, Forecasts).
  • Responsible for the Group consolidated annual budget and quarterly forecast process, including timeline, assumptions package, and Group financial modeling.
  • Responsible for the Treasury function, including optimization of cash management in a context of rapid investment and growth, banking relationship, leasing options and risk management (interest rate, foreign exchange and insurance).
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly compliance reporting (MD&A and bank covenants) with our lenders.
  • Manage a team of three (3) employees; foster a collaborative team environment, provide clear guidance and direction, and drive effective decision-making to lead the team to successful completion of goals.
  • Be the Custodian of the Group control framework. Drive a “best in class” accounting and finance organization, which is efficient, drives strong internal controls across the organization, promotes risk awareness and compliance with applicable regulations and accounting principles.
  • Implement improvement projects through implementation of technology, process redesign and team development.
  • Support the CFO in strategic growth initiatives, including due diligence, financing, as well as integration.
  • Lead the year end external audit and coordinate activities with the external auditors.

What Sets You Apart:

  • A Professional certification (e.g. CPA) and audit experience within a national firm.
  • A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, including extensive consolidation and reporting experience.
  • Good mix of commercial acumen and analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Creative and able to develop FP&A tools, templates and/or models.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
  • Ability to address multiple issues in a high-paced, rapidly changing environment requiring effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of the Consolidated Group and Management.
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with both internal and external stakeholders; the ability to build relationships and to liaise effectively with non-direct reports.
  • Strong project management skills – systems implementation, process improvement, change management.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial, ERP, CRM, and/or management software (including Excel and data analytics, and with SAP Business One experience an asset).
