The project: This is an opportunity to work with Mace North America, to join a multi-billion-dollar aviation infrastructure program in Toronto, Canada. This initiative aims to revolutionize the airport into one of the most advanced, sustainable, and passenger-friendly facilities in the world. With a strong commitment to environmental conservation, the project aims to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and position the airport as a leader in environmental stewardship. By integrating cutting-edge technology, the aviation infrastructure program will make air travel smarter, more efficient, and user-friendly, enhancing the quality of life by making travel more enjoyable and accessible. Join us as the owner's representative in this transformative journey to create an airport future that is equitable, sustainable, and innovative, paving the way for a vibrant and connected aviation hub in Toronto. You’ll be responsible for: Leadership and Team Management Driving the appropriate behaviors to achieve success and key performance indicators (KPIs), fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Setting an example of leadership and ownership, providing mentorship opportunities both within the team and across the organization. Project Delivery and Planning Ensuring site works meet the project delivery programme by creating and managing long, mid, and short-term plans in collaboration with planning colleagues. Directing the promotion of health, safety, and wellbeing plans and culture onsite, ensuring compliance with HSW standards. Technical Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement Providing expert technical advice and leadership support to the delivery team, fostering a culture of ownership and clear role responsibilities. Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and multiple internal and external stakeholders, implementing strategies and programmes collaboratively. Continuous Improvement and Innovation Driving continuous improvements in processes through the application of best practices and lessons learned, promoting transformational change. Converting the client's vision into a deliverable plan, incorporating Construction to Production (C2P), net zero carbon, and digital and data innovation. Performance and Governance Improving performance from baseline through resource optimization, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating activities, systems, and methodologies. Ensuring efficient governance to support project activities, meeting business objectives and legislative compliance obligations. Environmental Responsibility Working collaboratively towards the goal of net zero carbon transition, proactively identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery. Quality and Service Excellence Promoting and influencing quality and service excellence in all project interactions, ensuring operations are fiscally and ethically viable. High-Performing Team Environment Creating and nurturing a high-performing and inclusive team environment that encourages contribution and recognition. You’ll need to have: Membership of MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programs in the aviation infrastructure sector. Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise. Strong commercial and financial acumen. Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams. Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on. You’ll also have: Experience working in the aviation infrastructure sector. Experience in a director level position. Previous experience working with the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority) or equivalent. Industry qualification or chartership e.g. PgMP, PMI, CMI, DBIA.
