BI Developer (SQL/PowerBI)

Our client in the credit union space is looking for a Database BI Developer with expertise in MS SQL, ETL, and PowerBI.Duration: 3 - 6 monthsLocation: RemoteResponsibilities:Develop high quality and high performing reports and dashboards in PowerBI as well as back end ETL (extract, transfer, and load) business processes from planning to design, coding, testing and deploymentCreate new database procedures and schemas as well as migrate existing functionality to a database procedure, view or function that feeds PowerBIDetermine the functionality that the report or dashboard must support and develop content based on a practical approved layout Test and maintain ETL processes (in SSRS and TSQL) and reports/dashboards, and identify and solve any technical problems and glitchesGrasp new techniques and technologies to continuously improve the performance of our platformsCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and work closely with the project lead(s) to maintain the highest possible level of communication among the team members during the project development processBreak down requirements into units of work and create timelines with milestonesDesign and build software which includes schema design, ETL processes and reports/dashboardsImplement test plan and include UAT (User Acceptance Testing)Requirements:4+ years of relational database development experience in TSQL with a full understanding of Entity Framework Core platform and relational database schema design and modeling.4+ years of BI (reporting) development using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).4+ years of BI (reporting) development using Power BI.2-3 years of experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) or ADF (Azure Data Factory)Must have development experience with SQL Views, Functions and Stored Procedures (with Cursors) and an understanding of ETL (extract transform load) Prior hands-on experience with JSON/REST/XML/SOAP web services
