The incumbent is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct, policies and internal control procedures, laws and regulations governing Toronto Hydro.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generates, analyzes and synthesizes data on a weekly, monthly and annual reporting basis to support organizational management decision-making systems.
- Presents data and identifies trends in a succinct, concise format.
- Partners with internal stakeholders to facilitate and support confidential data requests and analytics from various business unit, including Human Resources, Payroll, Finance and Operations.
- Supports audit inquiries and resolves escalated employee questions.
- Provides governance frameworks, tools and templates for time entries and manages complex rules for multi-function front-end applications related to MyTime, SAP Time Evaluation etc.
- Responsible for the timely and complete flow of time data to payroll.
- Provides day-to-day advice and feedback to leaders to confirm compliance with collective agreements, company policies and legislated requirements (Employment Insurance Act, Employment Standards Act and Wages Act).
- Works with leaders to manage systems, processes and measures that support continuous improvement and works to identify and mitigate any risk factors associated with time functions.
- Coordinates small-scale system enhancement projects for human resources systems, time systems or systems utilizing time or schedule data.
- Supports development of business cases, requirements gathering, and gap analysis to support systems solutions for time and human resources specific systems.
- Creates new reports as required and continually improve existing reporting processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University Degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Statistics, Social Sciences, or other related field.
- One (1) to three (3) years of progressive experience in time keeping, data consolidation, trend analysis or human resources analysis required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (conditional formatting, pivot tables, advanced charts and graphs).
- Experience working with a complex unionized payroll.
- Demonstrated proficiency with SAP preferred.
- Experience in the interpretation of collective agreements as it relates to the key responsibilities.
- Ability to apply time governance principles, as per the Collective Agreements and policy documents.
- Experience with the application of relevant legislation (Employment Insurance Act, Employment Standards Act).
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of data analysis and gathering relevant information systematically.
- CHRP designation is a nice to have.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in compiling and presenting reports.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
