Senior Associate, Civil/Structural Group Location: Vancouver/BC 30 Forensic Engineering is one of Canada’s largest and most respected multi-disciplinary forensic firms. Our core team of 70 professional engineers, investigators, engineering technicians, and support staff is enhanced through relationships with top scientists and specialized consultants in North America serving a wide variety of industries including Construction, Infrastructure, Transportation, and more. Our Civil/Structural group provides a full range of services relating to the integrity of the built environment, including failure analysis, structural assessment, and professional consultation services during construction. Purpose: The Senior Associate will report directly to the Practice Lead and Regional Director, collaborating with other subject matter experts to consult with clients, perform examinations, testing, and analysis, and prepare technical reports in a clear and professional manner. Responsibilities: Perform site examinations and document reviews, effectively communicating findings to colleagues and clients. Collaborate with the Civil-Structural Team and Practice Lead on job functions and performance management. Prepare structural calculations, simulations, and technical drawings. Prepare technical reports based on sound investigations and analysis. Manage client service deadlines, budgeting, and invoicing according to best practices. Liaise with clients regularly and provide updates throughout investigations. Commit to the firm’s mission, vision, and values. Participate in business development and attend industry seminars and events. Manage projects efficiently and adhere to billing and reporting requirements. Work collaboratively across disciplines. Provide expert testimony in court. Expectations: 70% of time on client files 10% of time on industry and marketing activities 20% of time on professional development Requirements: 10+ years of experience Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
