Adecco is currently in search of a Instrumentation Tech to join our client, a distinguished integrated oil and natural gas company based in Fort McMurray, AB. If you possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering OR Instrumentation Engineering Technologist diploma, we encourage you to submit your application now!Location: Fort McMurray, ABShifts: Monday to Friday | 40 hours/weekJob type: Full-time | Long term contractDuties and Responsibilities:Provide technical support to operations & maintenance during troubleshooting activities to recover plant production, as requiredReview equipment test results and advise on the frequency & scope of maintenance activities or if repairs / replacements/equipment upgrades are neededParticipate in risk analysis work activities, develop engineering solutions for various plant issuesDevelop, present and/or make modifications to scope of work for turnaround events as well as provide support to turnaround team during executionMake recommendations for the procurement of materials, equipment and services for assigned workComplete instrumentation engineering work packages for equipment reliability improvements.Prepare high quality (technically sound, timely, complete and cost effective etc.) design packages with well-understood scopes of workPrepare detailed design, supply, construction and installation specificationsCheck vendor drawings and data for compliance with specificationsAnalyze instrumentation equipment data & historical failure information to produce equipment end of life strategies and obsolescence plans, or produce equipment failure reportsLead or provide technical support during incident investigationsQualification: Professional Engineer / Technologist or eligible for membership in APEGA/ASETBachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from a Canadian University or equivalent as recognized by APEGA; or Instrumentation Engineering Technologist diploma.Minimum 1-3 years of Instrumentation & Electrical Technician experience in Oil & Gas industry is required.Experience in completing engineering work packages.Must be local to Fort McMurray area or willing to relocate. (This is not camp based or FIFO role)
