Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Project Description:Our program was started as the migration of the financial instruments trading legacy mainframe system to a new technical, highly-scalable platform. The success of the program in both the migration and creation of a scalable platform led to it being selected as the strategic platform providing full-scale of advisory services for one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. This has led to significant further investment for legacy system migrations and technical improvements. Currently we have teams across several locations (Weehawken, Toronto, Wroclaw) on those projects.Reengineer set of existing applications and introduce additional application interface layer, allowing to query underlying data from third-party applicationsProject:Integration of external tools for Wealth Management services to UBS environment.We are looking for a Senior BA/ Product Manager who can closely work with our business partners to understand the current process, pain points and future enhancement requirements and capture them in detailed business requirements. The role also required to be closely working with the vendor who will be delivering a product for next couple of years.Prior experience in financial services especially in Wealth Management /Private Banking area is highly preferred. If the resource has Digital Banking , Trade Lifecyle and CRM Experience that will help to get to speed quickly.Responsibilities:1. Test PlanningDevelop and implement test strategies, plans, and schedules based on project requirements.Deliverables/Output: Test strategy, test plan, and test schedule.2. Test DesignCollaborate with the business and development teams to develop test cases, scenarios, and scripts.Deliverables/Output: Test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts3. Test ExecutionConduct functional, integration, system, and acceptance testing, and oversee the execution of automated test scriptsDeliverables/Output: Test results, test logs, and defect reports4. Defect ManagementDevelop and implement defect management processes, including identifying, tracking, and resolving defects.Deliverables/Output: Defect logs, defect reports, and defect closure reports5. Reporting and MetricsDevelop and provide test status reports, metrics, and dashboards to project stakeholdersDeliverables/Output: Test status reports, test progress reports, and test metrics6. Risk ManagementIdentify and manage testing risks and escalate issues as necessary.Deliverables/Output: Risk assessment reports, risk mitigation plans, and risk tracking reportsMandatory Skills Description:• Strong background in QA (5+ years of experience)• Experience in test planning, design, execution and defect management• Ability to use different requirements elicitation techniques, ability to document requirements in a concise and specific manner• Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders including expectation management• Knowledge of SDLC and QA functions during different SDLC phasesNice-to-Have Skills Description:• Practical experience in SQL• Domain and Solution modelling skills, knowledge of modelling notations UML, BPMN• Ability to manage Product Backlog and facilitate key meetings such as Sprint Planning, Product Backlog Refinement and Sprint Review• QA Automation (Java) experience will be a plus
