Estimator/Project Coordinator- Residential Drywall

Primary Job Duties:Review, and price as required site instructions and work orders.Communicate with partners and team members regarding new and current projects.Ensure timely completion of estimates regarding Site Instructions.Prepare and send out quotations for Site Instructions including follow-up.Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and documents.Assist estimators to identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.Computes costs by analyzing labour, material, and time requirements for Site Instructions and Extra's.Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Review scope of work requirements by analyzing and interpreting contracts.Coordinate between Foreman, Estimators and Project Managers to ensure that all Extra's have purchase orders submitted.Provide reports for Project Manager regarding outstanding purchase orders and incomplete Extra's.Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintain cost data base by entering data for material and labour as required in software programs.Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.Visit on site locations for safety meetings, construction management meetings, and to assist foreman with questions regarding site instructions.Requirements:3+ years' experience in high-rise constructionAble to read architectural plans and develop cost estimatesStrong understanding of residential construction processesProficiency with Plexxis, MS Word, ExcelAble to multi-task and meet deadlinesExcellent problem-solving skills
