One of our private sector clients, a renowned physiotherapy and chiropractic clinic, is looking for a Sports Physiotherapist to join their growing team on a full-time basis in Downtown Ottawa. If you have extensive experience in treating athletes and providing specialized care to meet the high demands of their sport, this role is perfect for you!Salary range: $90,000 or commission-based (both options available)About youTo be successful, you will need:2+ years of experience in sports physiotherapy —experience working with elite athletes is an assetBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy or relevant field —certification in specific sports physiotherapy techniques and/or neurokinetic therapy is an assetValid physiotherapist licenseProficient in shockwave therapy, spinal decompression, acupuncture, myofascial release, and other therapiesStrong understanding of athletes’ physical demands and ability to provide tailored careAbout the roleIf hired, you will:Diagnose and treat sports injuries with biomechanical assessmentsImplement and manage shockwave therapy, spinal decompression, acupuncture, myofascial release therapy, and trigger point therapyDesign and supervise post-surgical rehab programs for athletesCreate and track exercise programs for performance and injury prevention, including training programs for elite athletesUse electrical modalities and neurokinetic therapyManage conditions such as ankle sprains, hamstring strains, shin splints, back & neck pain, low back pain, knee pain & injuries, and general pain & tinglingOffer immediate care for injured athletes and manage various athletic injuriesWork with other health care professionals and educate athletes on injury preventionPerks & BenefitsOpportunity to work with elite athletes and help them reach peak performanceEnjoy a collaborative and supportive team environmentAccess to state-of-the-art facilities and equipmentBenefit from ongoing professional development opportunitiesApplied to this job already?
