Packaging Engineer Consultant

Job Description:Manage and execute packaging innovation and productivity projects.Leads complex projects or assignments within large projects with minimal supervision. Lead packaging qualification activities by generating packaging protocols, overseeing test execution, analyzing test data, and authoring qualification reports.Provide technical expertise for packaging risk assessments and failure mode/root cause analyses.Manage Innovation Project from concept through commercialization and retail shelvesWork with internal customers to commercialize packaging designs and conceptsInitiate and coordinate packaging line trials including planning, conducting and post-trial activities. Partner with purchasing and production departments to determine costs and feasibility of producing proposed packagingLead internal and external relationships to effectively influence and gain support for initiatives.Able to identify areas of cost savings or improvements to new and on market products. Represent packaging in cross functional team meetings to develop and implement new packaging and packaging changes to realize cost savingsConduct line trialsConduct lab testingDevelop packaging specificationsCandidate Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering. • 5+ years minimum experience in Packaging R&D, Food & Beverage or related industries • Good communication skills both oral and written.
