About the client: Our client is a trailblazer in the casino gaming industry, renowned for developing cutting-edge electronic table games (ETGs). Their flagship product, an advanced dealerless poker table, revolutionizes the gaming experience by blending excitement with efficiency. With a strong focus on innovation, they offer a wide range of popular games, including Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Blackjack, and Baccarat, making them a leader in electronic gaming.Responsibilities:Define and drive the strategic direction of the software development team, creating roadmaps and setting objectives to deliver innovative, high-quality software products.Lead and manage the Software Development and Quality Assurance teams, ensuring effective execution of development strategies and agile processes.Cultivate a high-performance team through coaching, mentoring, and career development, aligning team objectives with organizational goals.Ensure engineers have the tools and resources needed to perform at their best, removing obstacles and facilitating project success.Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from product definition to successful release, ensuring a seamless transition to support teams.Collaborate with Product Management, Deployment, and Support teams to enhance product development and resolve complex issues with sustainable solutions.Engage with customers to support business development, customer service, and retention efforts.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.5-7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a team of software engineers.Strong expertise in Software Development, Systems Design, and SaaS product delivery, with knowledge of software security, quality assurance, and relational database development.Proficiency in SQL, Java, C#, Angular or other JS frameworks, and experience with SOA architectures, Restful APIs, and Continuous Integration frameworks.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English, with the ability to make independent decisions within a loosely-defined framework.Additional Requirements:Successful completion of a police background check due to access to sensitive areas in casino properties.Knowledge of and passion for casino and card games is preferred.Experience with Slot Accounting System Protocol and fluency in other languages is a plus.Salary and benefits: Up to $160,000, 3-4 weeks of paid vacation and health benefitsLocation: Downtown, Vancouver (Onsite)
