ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

Based at Kraken Robotics Services(Newfoundland, Canada)

Full-Time –Permanent |Job Reference: KRSI-2023-05

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Cable harness assembly and verification

•Assembly of electronic chassis

•Installation and wiring of electrical bulkheads

•Complete incoming checks on sensor and electronic components

•Create build logs, build procedures and other required documentation

•Support testing of various products within production

•Mechanical assembly

•Soldering

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

•Diploma in Engineering Technology, or other Technical Diploma with experience.

•Electronics assembly and troubleshooting experience

•Experience with assembling and testing of wiring harnesses

•Experience in the installation and connection methods of electrical equipment

•Demonstrated technical skills along with a proven track record for success.

•Experience with quality assurance and quality control procedures (QA & QC)

•Experience in use and maintenance of electronic test equipment

•Experience in the use of inventory systems

•Strong written and oral communications skills (technical reporting and engineering documentation)

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•Strong troubleshooting skills

•Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment

•High degree of organization, with the ability to prioritize tasks

•Appreciation of other engineering disciplines (mechanical and software)

•Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset:

O Experience installing and operating electronics equipment in an ocean environment

O Experience with sonar systems and acoustic signal processing

O Experience testing and troubleshooting software systems

O Experience in a shop environment, specifically with hand tools

O Experience in through hole and surface mount soldering

O Familiarity with proper shop safety practices
