Development Director - Open World

Join us in driving the next revolution in games. We are looking for an experienced people leader who is passionate about driving software and game quality to lead an Open World game at Electronic Arts. You will provide operational leadership for the Quality Verification (QV) department, comprising of management, quality design, engineering, and analytics. Your primary responsibilities will be: Manage planning in all development stages from pre-production, production, launch, and live services. Scope and Capacity Management across QV. Overall Open World project risk management and reporting. Create scenarios and guide the decision-making process for our Open World Title. Improve operational effectiveness of team effort by assessing current practices, incorporating new strategies, and increasing predictability. Effective change management. Your primary People Management responsibilities will be: Mentor and support other leaders across all disciplines; build and mentor teams. Identify resourcing needs, guide and develop changes to talent, skills and practices to accomplish operational and strategic goals. Coordinate talent management and succession planning. Monitor and evolve talent skill mix, using training and active recruitment plans and strategies. Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion. Experiences and Capabilities: 3+ years of applicable Open World games work experience. 5+ years of project management or team leadership experience. 3+ years of experience managing people, including managing managers. 3+ years of experience leading and growing teams building Open World games. Excellent stakeholder management skills. Understand software quality assurance and software development lifecycle practices.
