Future Opportunities - Software Engineer

Job Description: These are full-time positions (40+ hours per week) where you will have the opportunity to partner closely with our highly-skilled team of modelers, programmers, animators, VFX designers, UI designers, artists, game designers, and more. While this is an engineering role, we believe good ideas can come from anywhere and encourage everyone to contribute their diverse perspectives to game design discussions! What You'll Do: Write clear, clean, and efficient game code Collaborate with other disciplines (production, art, design, etc.) to define and develop in-game features for current and upcoming titles Contribute to the development of new in-game features and bug fixes that impact millions of players What You Bring to the Team: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in software development, preferably in gaming or a related industry Strong grasp of programming concepts; experience in Lua is preferred but not required Effective communication and collaboration skills for the product/development cycle Ownership mentality and a passion for creating impactful gaming experiences Bonus Points for: Prior development experience on the Roblox platform or similar gaming platforms Experience in game jams, game modding, and passion projects related to game making Voldex is an equal opportunity employer.
