The Collaborative Design Studio is a full-service Interior Design firm based in Coquitlam. We specialize in multi-family home developments, presentation centres and display homes. We successfully collaborate with builders, developers, Architects, marketing companies and homeowners on our projects. We are a small group that approaches each new project as an exciting creative opportunity.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS

· Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects and a variety of tasks
· Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
AND ALSO HAS
· Experience in Multi-Family and Commercial Interior Design
· Ability to present concept and finishes to clients
· A diploma or degree from a recognized Interior Design program
· Familiarity with the BC Building Code and knowledge of construction techniques
· Proficiency in AutoCAD LT, Sketchup, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
· Ability to complete full construction drawing and specification packages
· Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language
· Excellent organizational skills, good time management and the ability to prioritize workload and projects as needed
· A professional and ethical approach to design that provides a strong foundation for relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues
BONUS POINTS FOR
· NCIDQ certified (or interested and eligible to take the exams)
· Registered Interior Designer with IDIBC
· A driver’s license and access to a vehicle
· Experience as a Project Manager
WHAT WE ARE OFFERING
A position as Senior Interior Designer and Project Manager. You will work on your own projects, as well as offer support to Intermediate and Junior Interior Designers by providing your technical expertise and design experience as you review work, answer questions and provide feedback on concept presentations, construction drawings and specification packages.
Our office in Coquitlam is casual and friendly, and we often have part-time canine co-workers joining us. Hours are flexible. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible and be able to work 4 to 5 days per week.
