In this role you will:
Report to the President and bring your creativity, energy, and marketing savvy to help fuel the growth of WDNA as part of a dynamic and committed team. Make your mark by planning and executing winning marketing strategies with a big focus on digital.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an annual marketing plan focused on business growth, identifying target markets, budgets, timelines, and success metrics
- Contribute to market and competitive research
- Manage relationships with business partners, including optimizing the potential of coop marketing programs
- Manage relationships with 3rd party providers, including agencies
- Own prime responsibility for branding, campaigns, advertising, and events
- Enforce brand standards and ensure their consistent application in all contexts
- Direct and manage digital content including web and social media
- Oversee the design, user experience and quality of the website
- Engage in strategies to drive traffic to digital assets, including paid advertising, and track metrics on traffic and impact
- Identify and test new platforms, tools and routes to market and keep up to date on emerging trends and technologies
- Bring creativity to bear in collaboration with colleagues in sales and operations to develop potential new offerings and routes to market
- Become knowledgeable about the retail footprint and bring ideas and energy to improve operations and enhance customer experience
Qualifications:
- University or College Diploma in Marketing, Communications or Business
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a marketing leadership role
- Solid experience with a range of marketing disciplines including brand management, market research, content marketing, advertising, events, public relations
- Advanced knowledge and experience of digital marketing
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solid analytical skills
- Sense of urgency, multi-tasking skills, detail oriented, organized, collaborative and creative
- Expertise in relevant technologies, for example Adobe and the Microsoft Office Applications
- Previous experience in wireless communications and/or retail industry is an asset
