Manager, Information/Cyber SecurityAt Capital One, you will help consult on initiatives, programs, and projects to raise their game in Information Security and Risk Management. You are pragmatic and practical in your understanding of risk and security, but also willing to know when to pull in experts and escalate. You collaborate and innovate with other teams within Capital One to push the envelope. You are comfortable with technologies like Cloud services, Containers, Docker, Microservices, Serverless, APIs, DevOps, noOps, FaaS, NoSQL, Immutable infrastructure and micro-segmentation. From health and fitness centres and discounts, to training and professional development programs – and much more – you’ll discover that Capital One is committed to helping you live your best life.ResponsibilitiesAct as a central point of contact for your line of business to the rest of Capital One’s Information Security and Risk ManagementCoordinate and execute proactive Information Security consulting to the business and technology teams covering Infrastructure Security, Resiliency, Data Security, Network Architecture and Design, and User Access ManagementServe as an expert in Capital One’s Information Security capabilities, solutions, policies, procedures and standardsInfluence customers to leverage security capabilities and solutions to Shift and integrate security to the left in the development processesEscalate and manage cyber security riskProvide ad hoc support on special Information Security hot topics for the businessProvide regular updates to executive leadership with your line of business on the overall Information Security health and risk environmentWork with line of business leadership to anticipate their objectives and needs to better serve line of businessAbout YouYou have a desire to work in a very fast moving, forward leaning, modern computing environmentYou have a deep passion for Securing modern computing platformsYou have a strong desire to continually learn about new technologiesYou possess strong conceptual thinking and communication skillsYou are able to work well under minimal supervisionYou are a demonstrated leader with team-oriented interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including upper management, IT leaders, and technology vendorsYou maintain calmness and clarity of thought under pressure and ability to maintain confidentialityYou have a deep understanding of strategic business objectives and the ability to drive results toward those objectivesBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in related technical fieldsAt least 7 years of experience providing guidance and oversight of Security conceptsAt least 7 years of experience performing security risk assessments and security architecture reviewsAt least 7 years of experience with Architecture, software design, networking, and Cloud infrastructureProven experience managing industry standard security audit and certifications; ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 1 or 2 TYPE I/IIProven experience managing Canadian Regulators (OPC, OSFI)Preferred QualificationsProven experience in securing a public cloud environment (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)Experience building software utilizing public cloud (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)Experience utilizing Agile methodologiesExperience with Software Application Security and Secure Architecture skillsExperience with Penetration Testing and/or Vulnerability ManagementProfessional certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Lead Security Auditor CertificationExperience in Offensive and/or Defensive Security techniquesExperience in a regulated environmentAbout Capital One Canada.We've been helping millions of Canadians for over 20 years by providing them with access to credit when others wouldn’t.
