Construction Estimator

Capela Surfaces located in Etobicoke, Ontario is looking for a full-time Construction Estimator with a minimum 2 years experience.

Duties include:

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs; read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements;
• Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads;
• Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms;
• Advise on tendering procedures; analyze tenders and recommend awards;
• Monitor and adjust contract expenditures;
• Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates;
• Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates;
• Review bids and negotiate costs;
• Prepare contracts and tenders.

$33-$35 per hour. Special consideration will be given to the various underrepresented groups.
