Oversee resource allocation, project timelines, and budget management to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of engineering projects. Project Management: Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept through detailed design, prototyping, testing, and production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software engineering, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components in products. Identify and mitigate risks throughout the design and development process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and expertise in the areas of mechanical design, materials selection, thermal management, and structural analysis. Lead design reviews and ensure that engineering solutions are robust, cost-effective, and meet all technical requirements. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering, materials science, and manufacturing technologies to drive innovation within the team. Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to define the mechanical engineering strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Proven experience in leading mechanical engineering teams through the entire product development lifecycle. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, thermal analysis, and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools. Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
