Job OverviewReporting to the Director, Development, multi-family, as the Senior Development Coordinator you provide support to the Development team. You also provide leadership through the development process and assist in managing all aspects of multi family projects.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Assisting in managing all aspects of project development process.Supporting the completion of pre-design, design development, development approvals, civil engineering approvals, and building permit approvals.Assisting management with preparation and regular updates of project proformas to ensure budgets are accurately reported.Reviewing consultant fee proposals and monthly invoices, monitoring consultant budgets, and assisting in tendering consultant services.Monitoring project schedules throughout the development process. Attending onsite project meetings as required.Collaborating with management to complete site feasibility analysis and due diligence on lands prior to subject removal of a purchase agreement.Staying current on relevant planning initiatives and attending Council meetings, public information meetings, market tours and industry events as required.As our ideal candidate, you are…A strong communicator; you clearly express your thoughts in conversation and in written communication. A creative thinker; you identify new ideas, techniques and opportunities to improve performance and productivity.A leader; you develop and improve the skills of others through effective coaching and guidance.A creative problem solver; you think outside the box for solutions without fear of failure.Essential RequirementsDegree/Diploma in Real Estate, Engineering, Business Administration, Planning, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of development related experience, preferably in Multi Family Development industry. Strong knowledge of civil engineering, land development, construction, project management, and land use planning is preferred.Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.Previous experience working with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and SharePoint) and Autodesk programs (AutoCAD, Revit).What We ValueCreating trusting and successful working relationships.Setting clear, measurable and achievable goals. Cooperating with team members in an open, positive and respectful manner.Taking responsibility for the outcomes of decisions and actions.Staying current on technical job skills.Work ConditionsYou primarily work in an office setting and/or remotely during regular business hours.
