Baker Tilly CK, LLP is seeking an experienced accountant with a Canadian CPA (CA, CGA or CMA) to join our dynamic team of professionals as an Audit Manager. This position focuses on helping our team of professionals provide top quality assurance and tax services to our broad client base of owner managed businesses, not-for-profit organizations and farm businesses. Your primary responsibilities will include: As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for: Working with small to medium sized companies in a broad range of industries on a variety of engagements including notice to reader, review and audit engagements. Preparing corporate and personal tax returns. Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of a wide range of Audit, Review and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team. Analyze financial information, accounting processes and operational procedures; provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries. Preparation of complex personal, corporate, non-profit organization information and charitable tax returns. Supervise junior staff during field assignments, inform Partners of engagement status and manage engagement progress. Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships. A successful candidate will have: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: 3-5 years post-qualification public accounting experience Assurance experience is an asset. Profound knowledge of Canadian GAAP, audit, review procedures, and tax compliance. A strong foundation in bookkeeping and an aptitude for working on multiple engagements simultaneously. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, combined with the ability to make independent decisions. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in accounting software and the ability to quickly adapt to new programs.
