GLAD YOU ASKED...The Tech Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of Pelmorex IT Infrastructure to standardize, modernize, and automate infrastructure management, providing strategic coordination as well as tactical governance. The role involves designing solutions in line with the organization's strategic goals and technology roadmap, working collaboratively with other tech leads and Infrastructure administrators.Please note you are required to work outside business hours and weekends if / when required.WHAT'S THE DAY TO DAY LIKE?Lead the design and implementation of Pelmorex infrastructure core systems (k8, VMs, Clusters, CICD, Clouds environment) including Network security, automation, and monitoringProvide technical advice or technical leadership where required to support various IT-related projectsDesign Infrastructure solutions for high availability, scalability, resiliency, integrity and security;Review existing systems & platforms and recommend changes and improvements to take advantage of best-of-breed technology solutions;Research and keep abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to ensure technology sustainability;Quality assurance and documentation of the Pelmorex infrastructure architecture;Document and hand over systems and processes to the IT Operations team for support;Act as a 3rd level support escalation;Ensure that IT Infrastructure systems meet, and endeavor to exceed, the agreed Service Levels;Be proactive in looking for opportunities on how IT can improve its Service Delivery;Projects delivered on time, on budget, and to required quality (stakeholder expectations);Provide after-hours support when and if required;Other duties as reasonably required.WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE:Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as information technology, computer science, or management information systems5+ Years of experience in working in a 24/7 IT environment.Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with Docker, Kubernetes cluster design, implementation, and management on the following infrastructures (OpenStack, VMware, Proxmox, AWS, GCP, AZURE)Excellent knowledge in cloud computing GCP, AWS, Azure, OpenStack, AI (Machine learning)Excellent knowledge of managing k8 infrastructure. Experience in Complex IT Environments (Network, System, and Storage)Excellent technical skills (Linux & Windows, Scripting, terraform)Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)Excellent Problem-solving skills.
