Position:Full-Time MillwrightStarting Wage: $47.75/hrAbout The Job:On behalf of our client, who is committed to excellence in steel manufacturing, the Red Deer facility is seeking an experienced Millwright to contribute to our dynamic team.Job Description and Responsibilities:As a Millwright with our client based in Red Deer, Alberta you'll be responsible for the repair, troubleshooting, and installation of machinery and equipment using a variety of tools and equipment. Your ability to interpret repair documents, manuals, blueprints, and schematic drawings will be essential. Additionally, you'll track and maintain work/backup roll bearing maintenance and repair using our maintenance management system. Key responsibilities include:Troubleshooting and maintenance of plant equipmentKeeping accurate and legible recordsMaintaining a clean and safe work areaPerforming all work in a safe manner by strictly following safety proceduresQualifications:To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:Journeyman Millwright/Industrial Mechanic/Heavy Duty Mechanic/Hydraulic Mechanic - IP Red Seal preferredExperience using various tools and equipment, including air impact and electric wrenches, pipe fitting tools, hoists, jackhammers, cutting torches, and welding equipmentAbility to read blueprints and schematic drawingsAptitude for setting up, tearing down, and rebuilding machinery and equipmentKnowledge and ability to use computer programsStrong written, oral communication, and organizational skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsBasic math skills, with exposure to geometry and trigonometry preferredRequired QualificationsSuccessful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment physical (including audiometric testing, vision, and strength)Clear criminal background checkMinimum high school diploma or GEDAvailability for day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays (12 shifts - 48 and 36 hours alternating weekly)Why APPLY?Competitive starting wage of $47.75/hrOpportunities for growth and advancement within the companyBe part of a collaborative team committed to safety and excellenceAccess to the comprehensive benefits packageHow to Apply:If you are ready to take the next step in your career as a Millwright please submit your resume and cover letter highlighting your relevant experience and qualifications.
