Senior DevOps Engineer

With the increased need for strong authentication and sophisticated Identity Management solutions, our company has seen significant sustained growth over the past couple of years and we are looking for motivated individuals to join our team of security experts.RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and implement the automation of every aspect of CI/CD pipelines and security programs.Drive design and develop automation to rapidly and safely deploy and manage complex cloud application infrastructures at scale.Operate the platform with a constant eye toward continuous improvement of automation, self-healing, reliability, scalability, and security.Contribute to the creation of system support documents and operational procedures.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSWhat Do I Need For This Role?CloudStrong Linux administration experience with a focus on web infrastructure (Apache/Nginx/HAProxy/Tomcat), needs of custom applications, and deployment and scaling of databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL in cloud managed form).Proven experience leveraging automation and scripting to automate building, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of highly secure and scalable cloud services (e.g. Ansible, Git, Python, Groovy, Docker, Kubernetes, Nagios, Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Datadog).Solid experience with AWS technologies such as EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, ELB/ASG, or equivalent cloud technologies and Kubernetes equivalents.Strong understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, VPNs, and proxies.Understanding of application clustering/load balancing concepts and technologies and its impacts on application deployment.DevelopmentExperience with CI and CD pipeline (e.g. Jenkins), package management, and how it relates to containers, image management, and deployment.A passion for building and deploying scalable and reliable cloud services.GeneralNeed to be Canadian Citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or higher), minimum of 7 years of relevant AWS or Azure experience with overall 10+ years of development/infrastructure experience.Clear written and verbal communications skills.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Attention to detail, self-motivated, creative, and flexible.Experience with code reviews and test coverage to evaluate and communicate quality information with the team.Bonus ExperienceExperience in security best practices, host and network intrusion detection, logging, and monitoring (e.g. Nagios, Splunk, Elastic Search, Ossec/WAF, Snort/Sourcefire).Experience using the following technologies: PKI, Kubernetes, service meshes, Azure.Experience in leading and mentoring DevOps engineers.Experience in security policy and certifications like SOC2, FedRAMP, etc.ABOUT US:We are a fast-moving company and are looking for candidates with growth potential, eager to learn, and who can demonstrate their abilities and motivation to contribute in a fast-paced environment.Axiad offers a competitive salary, stock options, and a full list of benefits, including health, 401K, vision, and dental coverage.
