Job Requirements / Description
Person who conceived, updates, analyzes and evaluates programs aimed at the psycho-social rehabilitation of the users. Education: Must have a master degree in Psycho education; Member in good standing of OPPQ (Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec). Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience is an asset. Knowledge and Abilities: Ability in the identification and analysis of the clientele needs; Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge, as applied to coaching and training; Excellent interpersonal and listening communication skills; Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational and decision-making skills; High adaptability capacity; Open minded to other's language, culture, values and beliefs; Knowledge of Cree culture and language, social/health issues and Eenou/Eeyou Pimaatsiiun healing practices and paradigm is an asset. Language: Fluent in English; Fluency in Cree or French is an asset. ABOUT US The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay is responsible for providing health and social services for all persons residing permanently or temporarily in the Eeyou Istchee region, the Cree Territory of James Bay. It is a remote region in northern Quebec made up of nine communities of the Cree Nation, an Indigenous population of nearly 18,000 people. The health and social services offered are front-line services provided in the nine local CMCs as well as second line services through the regional hospital centre in Chisasibi. When second- and third- line services cannot be provided in the community, patients are transported to institutions affiliated with McGill University's Réseau Universitaire Intégré de Santé (RUIS).
