Description Join our Global Technology Services Management and Support Team! We’re looking for Associate Platform Engineer(s) : specifically, someone who is passionate about building solutions that makes life better for others, enabling visibility and comprehension of application health and performance; motivated by opportunities to automate processes to improve system reliability and customers' experience; to experiment with new technologies and guide others. Our team provides consulting and education on reliability practices to other teams, creates new tools and finds innovative ways to surface operational data and simplify the lives of our fellow colleagues. We are an integral part of the transformation to be a data-driven organization! How will you contribute: • Collaborating with other teams to provide application monitoring strategy. • Building and setting up monitoring (Synthetics, APM, Infrastructure) within our Monitoring Platform. • Building new application monitors, dashboards, and creative solutions. • Creating automation solutions using scripting languages using APIs. • Using problem solving skills in concert with tooling to help uncover application issues and perform root cause analysis. • Create visibility of our myriad of data and help our partners understand this data. • Supporting and enhancing our current toolset. • Promoting reliability engineering within our team and beyond. • Handling communications with our allies in the business to ensure information is comprehensive to technical and non-technical members. • Maintaining positive relationships with many internal teams. • Adapting to evolving priorities. Experience and Skills: • 1+ years experience working in a technical role in IT (including co-op experiences) • Coding experience with NodeJS or JavaScript. • Scripting experience with languages such as PowerShell or Python. • Experience with monitoring tools: New Relic, Dynatrace, CA APM, PRTG. • Data driven and be passionate about using data to advance our effectiveness and enable superb customer experiences. • Dedicated and able to work independently with a continuous learning approach. • A focus and aim for creating excellent customer experiences. • Innovation, adaptability and curiosity. • Clear, concise, tactful communication skills. • Caring for your fellow team mates. Primary Location Waterloo, Ontario Salary range is expected to be between $59,570.00 CAD - $110,630.00 CAD If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
