Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an aggressive exploration, development, production, and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.We are currently looking for an Emissions Data Analyst to join our team, in the Calgary office. The key focus of the Data Analyst role is in advancing data analytics to help drive the integration of emissions compliance and beyond-compliance monitoring programs with production operations and engineering to facilitate emissions reduction opportunities. Reporting to the Team Lead-Emissions, the Emissions Data Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:Key Responsibilities•Maintain and expand existing datasets, applications and reports designed to capture and analyze field emissions monitoring data. •Analyze emissions monitoring data and develop KPI’s for emissions performance. •Assist emissions engineers in root cause analysis and prioritizing emission reduction opportunities. •Integrate emissions data with other corporate datasets required for annual emissions quantification and verification. This includes maintaining relationships with other groups and leads within Tourmaline that produce or are responsible for that data.•Create dashboards, charts and visualizations to clearly indicate emissions performance to internal stakeholders. •Interface with- and be focal point of contact with IT and Operational Technology groups.•Collaborate with 3rd party technology companies offering emissions management solutions and assisting them with data acquisition.•Ensure that corporate asset and field data capture systems are updating the emissions inventory accurately and take part in verification of that information.•Support Team Lead and Emissions Analyst in driving continuous improvement in emissions data collection, management, and reporting systems.•Support emissions audits, verifications and inspections by providing necessary data and documentation.Qualifications & Skills•Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, data sciences, or related field.•Proven experience in data modelling and analysis.•Proficiency in the Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerApps, PowerBi, Power-Automate and Dataverse.•Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and coding experience with one or both of Python or R.•Statistical modelling skills (beyond descriptive statistics) are an asset but not a requirement.•Working knowledge of Oil & Gas processes, Environmental Engineering, and emissions regulations are not necessary, but are an asset. •Must be willing to learn from- and work well with multi-disciplines and stakeholders, including Production Operations, Accounting & Finance, Measurement & Production Coordination, Production Accounting, ITS, third-party consultants and verifiers, and emerging clean technology sector.•Highly adaptable, willing to work independently and a self-starter with ability to self prioritize tasks and willing to take the initiative in completing all necessary tasks.•Ability to think strategically and logically.•Takes pride and ownership in their work.
