HHSF is seeking a Coordinator, Community Giving, who will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing our Community Giving programs. Your responsibilities will include managing and executing strategies across various fundraising channels, including direct response, tribute and memorial giving, HHS employee giving, monthly and mid-level donors, lotteries, and legacy giving. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to impactful fundraising initiatives that support our vital mission.As the Coordinator, Community Giving, you will play a key role in maximizing revenue generation and strengthening donor engagement. You will work closely with the Manager, Community Giving, and other team members to coordinate initiatives, programs, and campaigns; create compelling fundraising materials; support a range of donor recognition and stewardship activities; and help HHSF achieve its fundraising goals for all elements of the integrated Community and Legacy Giving Department. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovative and strategic outcomes, develop effective donor strategies, and enhance community support.Qualifications: Post-secondary education preferably in fundraising, communication, marketing and/or business, or equivalent experienceOne (1+) years’ experience in fundraising, administrative support, or coordination experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and adept at using tact, diplomacy and discretion with donors, agency partners, suppliers and Foundation and Hospital StaffTeam player with demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision and an ability to self-manage effectively in a changing environment with multiple conflicting demandsExcellent organizational, project and time management skillsAbility to condense and package information in a visually appealing and logical manner.Understand the need for professionalism, discretion and patience when communicating with donors and stakeholdersAccuracy and attention to detail are imperativeStrong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications (365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), CANVA, data entry into and reporting from database system, and chat and video conferencing programsExperience with Raiser’s Edge/NXT fundraising software an assetExperience using social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Instagram an asset           Working Hours, Location and RequirementsThis position operates Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, onsite at Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation head office at 1 King Street West, Hamilton, ON. The nature of the work is that some evening and weekend work is required to attend events and meetings.Opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days a week after 3 months of employment based on approval of VP.Travel is required as the position will regularly visit various locations (i.e. Hamilton Health Science affiliated sites, event locations, corporate partners, donors).
