Business Development Representative – 3PL & WarehousingMilton, ONAre you an accomplished sales professional with a background in 3PL, warehousing, and the world of logistics? Lock Search Group is excited to present an opportunity for a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our client's team in Milton, Ontario. Our client excels in logistics, warehousing, and distribution services, providing an extensive array of supply chain solutions. This role offers a thrilling chance to contribute to growth and innovation within the Logistics and Supply Chain sector.The candidate in this role would be integral to the success of the sales efforts of our client. They would embrace agency, decision-making, and would possess an entrepreneurial edge. This position has a potential path to sit on the leadership team, pending the successful incumbent can drive sales and scale to a level that would warrant team growth. They would be an expert in utilizing a consultative sales approach to drive value and create cross sell/upsell opportunities with partners by driving portfolio growth in programs. Enjoy the flexibility of working from a home office (once you have completed your onboarding) 4 days a week.**Need to reside in the GTA West Region or within driving distance of Milton, Ontario**Responsibilities: Identify and target potential clients throughout North America, conduct market research, engage prospects through various channels (retail, e.comm, fulfillment)Secure meetings to sell 3PL and warehousing services on valueCollaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for client discovery and service scoping, provide responsive service and pricing proposalsPreparing and responding to RFQ/RFP processAssist with competitive proposals and negotiations, and prepare finalized contracts.Set and achieve sales targetsDeveloping a sales pipeline of warehousing and fulfillment leadsMonitor market trends and competitive landscapeAnalyze existing client base for growth opportunities, and develop strategic plans to expand the customer base.Understand business in order to build a solid understanding of target customerBe the difference. Help evolve, develop and innovate the sales playbook, KPIs, and the implementation of tech to help take the sales success to the next level.Qualifications:3+ years in business development or sales leadership within customs brokerage, transportation, or 3PL Logistics industry.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a results-oriented mindset.Proactive approach to accountability, excellent organizational skills, and strong analytical abilities.Bachelor’s degree (Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field).A strong familiarity with creating and presenting KPIs internally to the executive teamPrevious experience in the selection, implementation, and utilization of a CRMA familiarity with ICP definition, personas, building and iterating on a sales playbookExperience leading direct reports, coaching, and team mentorship is highly desirableOffer & Benefits:competitive base salary + strong commission potential (OTE over mid 100s)Medical and dental plan3 weeks vacationcell phone / computerreimbursement for relevant training and coursesIf logistics is your passion and you have a proven track record in business development, we invite you to submit your application via the ‘Apply’ option.
