Our client is actively recruiting an accomplished Divisional Controller to join their newly integrated corporate finance team. They seek a proficient leader to guide financial operations, dedicated to maintaining excellence in their financial practices across diverse divisions in machining and fabrication. They are eager to welcome a skilled professional who can effectively lead and optimize financial strategies within this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish consistent accounting policies, controls, and procedures across divisions, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations.
  • Lead testing of changes to the Payroll and finance ERP system to ensure desired financial outcomes.
  • Recruit and develop coaching plans for accounting and finance personnel, fostering growth and efficiency.
  • Implement unified contribution margin and gross margin tools and reporting across divisions.
  • Analyze and report production costs by project, focusing on materials, labor, and overheads.
  • Develop monthly income tax provisions and offer assistance in income tax preparation and strategic planning..
  • Generate timely, detailed financial performance reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Overseeing the gathering and consolidation of all financial data essential for accurately accounting for consolidated business outcomes within the EP Group.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and management to analyze financial performance and provide insightful commentary.
  • Coordinate external audit activities and enhance the Company's working capital metrics, such as DSO, DPO, and DIO, for improved operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within accounting or finance, preferably as a Controller or in senior finance management.
  • Advanced knowledge of ASPE and/or IFRS accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Tier 1 or 2 ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven track record in the manufacturing industry is crucial.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Highly motivated with a strong aptitude for independent problem-solving and resolution.
