By providing professional support to Food Service Solutions Inc.’s operations nationwide, your position is integral to the financial and sustained growth of our company. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, competitors' pricing strategies, and product margins to optimize sales and profitability in Canada and the new FSS USA business. Your insights and recommendations will be critical in driving strategic decision-making and ensuring our products remain competitive in the market. This role will be reporting to Marketing Director.Duties & Responsibilities: Competitive Pricing Analysis:Conduct thorough market research and analyze competitors' pricing strategies, promotions, and discount structures.Monitor market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for price adjustments and new pricing models.Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies that maximize revenue and market share.Margin Analysis and Optimization:Evaluate product margins across different market segments and channels, identifying areas for improvement.Analyze pricing structures and cost components to determine the impact on profitability.Develop and implement strategies to optimize margins while maintaining competitiveness and drive sales volumesContact suppliers on large volume chain opportunities for lower costs and do margin analysis to ensure price competitiveness to maximize chain sales and volume.Manage price increases from suppliers through the system and provide recommendation for flow through cost increases to market provided the market can and will accept such increases.Maintain an FX impact for Canada an the USA based on FX rates for the CAD, USD, Euro and CHF.Sales Performance Evaluation:·      Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and insights regarding pricing impact on sales volume and revenue.·      Monitor the effectiveness of pricing and promotional strategies, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.·      Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing guidelines and provide training on pricing strategies and tactics.Manage Pricing:·      Work closely with the marketing team to manage the chain pricing, price increases and work with finance to bill back the supplier.Competitive Intelligence:·      Gather and analyze data on competitors' product offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning.·      Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market dynamics to provide timely insights and recommendations.·      Provide competitive intelligence reports and presentations to key stakeholders, highlighting market opportunities and threats.System Support:·      Execute Salesforce implementation for Sales and Service·      Manage, maintain, and generate reporting for Salesforce·      Manage AutoQuotes and help the team to utilise the system to full potential·      Operate as backup support for Business Intelligence and daily reportingQualifications and Skills·      Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.·      Proven experience as a Sales Marketing Analyst or similar role, preferably with a focus on competitive pricing and margin management.·      Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.·      Proficiency in using analytical tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.·      Knowledge of pricing models, market research methodologies, and competitive analysis techniques.·      Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.·      Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset, with the ability to balance profitability and competitiveness.·      Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.·      Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends.
