Fee: $5,800 + HST as applicable
Other Benefits: Festival tickets, festival t-shirt, flexible hours.
Hours/Schedule: Approximately 215 hours broken down as follows
August 6-September 1, 10-15 hrs./week (4 weeks)
September 3 – 20, 25 hours/week (3 weeks)
September 23 – Oct. 6 (2 weeks) full time, festival weeks.
Plus approximately 10-15 hours of wrap up

About the Role:
Reporting to the Executive Producer and General Manager, the Company Manager will work with all levels of the programming and production team, and act as a link between the festival and the local and touring artists/companies. The Company Manager will work closely with the Festival Coordinator to implement festival-wide scheduling, prioritize and execute project tasks and plans, and manage detailed communication with artists and partners, in an ever-evolving, hands-on environment.

Responsible for:
Working with FFDN’s artistic team, act as a liaison between, and as overall support for designated artists, co-presenting partners, venue partners, etc.;
Working with FFDN’s General Manager, assist with the procurement of appropriate travel/working documents for any international artists/companies;
Create and distribute Welcome Packages and accompanying materials for all parties, and prepare and send timely schedules and communications to all parties throughout the project timelines;
Attend and support the rehearsal, tech, and production weeks, from Sep 26 – Oct 6, respectively (exact dates/venues TBD);
Liaise with all venue partners to confirm timelines and details with artists, and with FFDN’s artistic and production teams, further coordinate and supervise additional tasks (i.e. equipment rentals, design rentals and repair, volunteer coordination, etc.);
Support the development and planning for artist talks, workshops, and other additional residency activities;
Attend, coordinate, and supervise all designated FFDN artist/company activities (i.e. performances, artist talks, workshops, select rehearsals, etc.);
Arrange travel details for artists/companies (as required), i.e. city-to-city and local ground transportation, accommodation, per diem, freight, etc. ;
Facilitate any liaison with festival hotel, finalizing rooming lists etc;
Support FFDN’s artistic team with tasks related to the production of any behind-the-scenes audio/video materials about the project;
Support any PR related activities of the artists and coordinate with FFDN’s PR firm, MPMG;
Liaise with the Director of Production to confirm studio spaces for rehearsals and warm-up space (as needed) ;
Support ticket distribution and complimentary tickets for artists;
Support the overall festival team in other tasks or assignments as they arise, liaising with other FFDN departments, such as Marketing, Ticketing, and Advancement, as required
Desired Experience/Skills:
2-3 years experience working in the performing arts in a production and/or administration related position
Well-organized and detail-oriented
Clear communication and strong writing skills
Adaptable personality – ability to problem solve, embrace flexibility and versatility, while working in a high-paced, evolving environment
Familiarity with dance sector or the dance community of Toronto is an asset
Driver’s license is an asset
