With a staff of 14,000, the TCDSB is a dynamic school board and is seeking a full-time Senior Manager, Child Care within the Early Learning Program department. Key A ccountabilities Reporting to and under the direction of Coordinator Early Learning Program1, the Senior Manager of Child Care Services will be responsible for overseeing all functions related to the TCDSB Early Learning and Care Programs. TCDSB ELP Department supports over 200 Early Learning and Child Care Programs. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Act as a primary contact and liaison person for all operators of Licensed Child Care Centres and Before and After School Programs, Authorized Recreation Programs Provide assistance in coordination, implementation and expansion of all Early Learning and Care Programs in the TCDSB Act as a liaison and serve on committees with the City of Toronto, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Child, Community and Social Services Provide updates on programming and complete Ministry Reports as required Provide leadership, share and promote best practices for Early Years programs across TCDSB Develop and maintain communication materials for website and liaise with multiple TCDSB departments Support use of shared space among school administrators and child care operators and assist in resolving arising issues Work with Renewal Department to facilitate continuation of child care programs during summer renewal project work Collaborate with Capital Department in development of new child care centres by attending school and local design committee meetings to provide input on child care designs Participate with Materials Management in selection of child care operators for new child care centres through Request for Proposals process Prepare reports and communication as required Perform any other duties, as assigned Requirements A relevant University Degree from a recognized university Certificate in Early Childhood Education is an asset Minimum of 4 years responsible, collaborative leadership in early years' programs or community programs Sound knowledge of the legislation and policies governing planning, funding and delivery of licensed child care and early years' programs in Toronto and Ontario Understanding of the operation of school system and school-based programs an asset Proven organization, time management and problem-solving skills Proficiency with a range of current software programs and applications including MS Office Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing and presentations Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle for travel across TCDSB schools (eligibility for mileage reimbursement) Availability to work outside core office hours, as required This is a non-union Level 7 position with a salary range of $ 100,508 - $11 9,511 along with comprehensive benefits including pension plan, vacation, and professional development opportunities.
