With a reputation for innovative solutions and exceptional service, they are poised for continued growth and success in the industry.Position SummaryThey are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations-Construction to lead their operations department, manage a large team of project managers and administrative support staff, and ensure the successful delivery of construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the construction industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects with exceptional quality and creativity.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management: Oversee and mentor a diverse team of project managers, site supervisors, and administrative support staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment that encourages professional growth and achievement.Operational Strategy: Help develop, refine and implement operational strategies and processes to optimize project delivery, enhance efficiency, and ensure alignment with the company’s vision and objectives.Project Oversight: Provide high-level oversight and guidance on multiple concurrent construction projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Technical Solutions: Leverage your technical expertise to identify creative solutions to project challenges. Drive innovation in construction methods, materials, and technology to improve project outcomes.Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and partners. Working with senior leadership, act as an additional point of contact for key clients and ensure their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure projects are financially viable and achieve profitability targets.Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures. Ensure all projects meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and client specifications.Business Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Contribute to strategic planning efforts and support the company’s growth and expansion objectives.Reporting: Provide regular reports to the senior leadership team on project status, operational performance, and strategic initiatives. Highlight key issues and propose solutions.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing large teams and delivering complex commercial and retail construction projects.Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in managing diverse teams, driving performance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices. Ability to provide innovative solutions to engineering and construction challenges.Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
