Job Summary

The IBE Category Lead is the strategic architect of our Brand Experience strategy and always-on platforms. The role sits at the intersection of the Brand Growth Plan, creative ideas and media, partnering closely with the Brand Managers, Creative and Media teams to ensure a comms idea is properly integrated across the touchpoints that best meet a brand’s communications tasks. This role calls for a strategist with a creative heart and an analytical mind who can contextualize an idea within the appropriate channels and ultimately ensure that creative execution and media all work in perfect harmony to capitalize the brand growth opportunities.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

- Manages the Brand Experience Planning process, guiding best practices in connecting the Brand Growth Plan to the Comms Plan across brands

- Establishes and drive a multi-touchpoint communications strategy, partnering closely with Agency’s Strategy, Creative and Media leads to ensure our creative ideas make most effective use of an integrated mix of owned, earned and paid channels, and are deployed via innovative, targeted media and technology

- Leads standardization in the transformation of brand audiences to media audiences across brands working closely with the Agency and the Brand Mgrs., ensuring de-duplication and testing audiences, and measuring performance

- Ensures best practices in briefing against communication tasks that guide messaging and execution tailored to each touchpoint

- Guides best in-class creative development process in which creative ideas are digital-first

- Leads overall campaign performance evaluations and AB testing

- Leads a team of communication, marketing, and work in close partnerships with packaging design professionals to develop holistic Brand Experience Calendars that include off and on media, POP and packaging.

- Creates measurable campaign KPI’s, helping to enhance creative effectiveness and tracks performance across various platforms to leverage insights from data to improve comms effectiveness

- Responsible for demonstrating an understanding of consumer behaviors within media, and a working knowledge of media relevant touchpoint including TV, digital, social, experiential, print, OOH, and search

- Manages presence at industry events, and conferences

- Creates budget for communications team and ensures compliance

Range of Qualifications

Level of Education:

Years of Experience:

8+ years of communications, marketing or related experience in a client-side or agency role

4 years of experience in advertising planning process across owned, earned, shared and paid channels

4 years leading Digital Marketing strategies

Functional Experience and Technical Skills: 

Experience in traditional and non-traditional content development, off-line and online media including TV, print, radio, outdoor, online and mobile

Good knowledge of all different digital marketing channels

Good knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices

Familiarity with web design and search performance

Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite tools
