Given their success in the market and their high degree of dedication to meeting client requirements, our client is now looking to expand their Canadian tax team, and that’s where you come in.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYAs Tax Manager, your primary focus will be geared towards tax compliance, provisions and planning. You, along with your colleagues, will help maintain a collaborative atmosphere through effective teamwork and bring a positive attitude to the table when working on special projects - independently and as part of a team.ABOUT THE POSITIONAs part of the Canadian Tax Group, the following responsibilities can be expected:Work with a broad range of companies and high net worth individuals on tax planning and complianceAssist in complex tax planning engagementsAnticipate client needs and adapt to requests in a timely mannerCoordinate tax activities and develop relationships and connections with clients on an ongoing basisMaintain up-to-date knowledge on tax changes and advise staff and clients as neededProvide mentorship and support to junior staff members on tax related mattersOther duties as assignedTHE REQUIREMENTSDesignated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)5+ years of Canadian tax experience with a strong tax compliance background and knowledge of Canadian tax lawsCompletion of the In-depth tax program is highly desirableExperience with a broad client base, ideally in a mid-sized public practice firmProficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and ExcelStrong attention to detail with the ability to work independentlyExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsCOMPENSATIONBase salary range: $90,000 - $110,000, experience dependentVacation: 4 WeeksExtended medical and dental coverageFitness allowanceHOW TO APPLYPlease apply directly to this posting with the most recent version of your resume.
