Engineer and Technical Manager Prescott, Ontario HFI Pyrotechnics Inc. Full Time (Days) Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm HFI Pyrotechnics Inc. is a Canadian owned company near Prescott Ont. We manufacture a range of military and consumer non-lethal pyrotechnic devices. We are the newest member of Canada’s Munitions Supply Program, and we have a growing range of products and services and customers from around the world. HFI Pyrotechnics is growing and maintains a culture of continuous improvement throughout its organization. HFI Pyrotechnics is on the ascent, and we are looking for energetic individuals with a positive can-do attitude to help us produce our world-class products.  HFI Pyrotechnics is seeking a dedicated Engineer and Technical Manager to join our team. As an Engineer and Technical manger, you will be responsible to lead and develop standards and strategies for our technical programs, develop HFI project management standards and tools, lead, coach and mentor our technical and capital projects.In this role you will report to the President of the company, you will be part of our management team. You will have four direct reports and help influence the development of our new project managers.  Key Responsibilities:- Leadership- Project Management- Team Development- Technical Expertise- Cross - Functional Collaboration- Resource Allocation- Risk Management- Compliance  Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field- P.Eng License in Ontario would be considered an asset- 5+ years in technical and/or engineering management roles.- Experience in Pyrotechnics or explosives (manufacturing, use or design) would be considered an asset- Demonstrated experience leading maintenance and facilities departments- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Formal qualifications would be considered an asset.- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders- Experience with regulatory agencies including (but not limited to) MECP, NRC-ERD, MOL, Health Canada, WSIB, and the likes- Experience with MS Teams, 0365, Excel- Commitment to safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement, LEAN, 6Sigma, or TPM experience and qualifications would be considered an asset.- This position requires minimum intermediate proficiency in English in each of three language skills: Reading, Writing, and Oral Interaction.   Benefits: - Together stronger culture - Competitive Salary- Health, dental, and vision insurance after 3 months- Retirement savings plan after 6 months- Paid time off and holidays- Opportunities for career advancement How to Apply:Interested candidates should submit their resume and a brief cover letter explaining their qualifications and interest in the position to [email protected]  HFI Pyrotechnics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
