Wood is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Sarnia, ON to expand our team within the Oil & Gas Canada business. The successful candidate will be engaged in projects across several areas including oil and gas (upstream, midstream, downstream), energy transition, and petrochemical industries. We are seeking experienced engineers with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance across the full life cycle of projects, including study phase, DBM, FEED, and Detailed Design. RESPONSIBILITIES Use strong technical knowledge to complete process engineering deliverables and tasks with minimal guidance and direction. Develop process simulations and heat and material balances. Conduct process equipment and line sizing and optimize process control strategy to support PFD and P&ID development. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines. Interface with Clients. Complete conceptual studies through to detail engineering stages within timeline and budget. Coordinate/Supervise a team of process engineers offering support and guidance to junior and intermediate process engineers. Perform checking of all process engineering deliverables in accordance with industry codes, standards and guidelines, and client specifications. Conduct regular reporting, scheduling, resource planning and coordination with workshare offices. Keep updated on technical skills and on new technologies in industry. QUALIFICATIONS Currently registered or eligible for registration with PEO. Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university. Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with the majority spent working in refining, petrochemicals or oil & gas industries. Must be proficient in HYSYS and/or ProMax. Must have client facing skills. Strong written and oral communication (English) skills. Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals. Must be able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines across multiple projects. Must be able to coordinate with team members in other workshare offices. PHA experience is required.
