Job Description What can you expect in this role? Definity’s Enterprise Data Office (EDO) is dedicated to facilitating the governance and standardization of Definity’s data and driving initiatives to operationalize and embed Data Governance and Management capabilities across the organization.    Reporting to the Manager, Data Governance Product Management, this role will contribute to the strategy & roadmap of the data quality program at Definity.  This includes developing plans to promote Definity's data quality capabilities, working with business partners to identify & prioritize data quality challenges, and determine appropriate remediation solutions.  This role will work hand in hand with other groups within the EDO - such as Tooling and Strategy - to help define the EDO's data quality capability and embed data quality practices within the organization. Facilitate cross-functional forums and working groups to implement data quality initiatives, including documenting requirements, technical rule writing, and supporting processes and reporting. Contribution and delivery of the strategic direction & road mapping of Definity's Data Quality capability.                                                         Develop communication, resources, and training materials for the organization for the Data Quality capability.                                                         Develop Data Quality scorecards and metrics for the organization.                                       Work with cross-functional stakeholders - including IT representatives, business leaders and analytics and data management community - to understand data quality challenges and identify solutions for remediation.                                                     Technical and subject area mentorship and support for colleagues.                         What do you bring to this role? University degree required, Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or other Technology field preferred                                                         3-5 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality or Data Analysis (insurance/financial services industry preferred).  Experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements; Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and best practices for data quality. Experience developing and executing a data quality strategy for an enterprise program. Exposure to Data Governance or Data Quality tools (such as Collibra, IBM IIS, Informatica, etc.) and working knowledge of Big Data, Data Lakes.  Exposure to the Insurance technology ecosystem is a nice to have; Experience with data profiling or defining data quality rules is an asset.  1-2 years of SQL, BPMN and REST API experience is preferred                                         Strategic thinking. Mentorship for junior team members. Communicate with business & technology partners up to Director level. Ability to identify problems/opportunities, analyze root cause, and present recommendations; Experience working with multiple teams to drive alignment and results; strong stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to deadlines                                                            Salary Range is $66,300 - $122,100.                                                 About Us Interested in this role, but don’t meet every requirement?  We encourage you to apply!
