Do you like working in smaller teams and seeing the entire solution?Our team is growing and we’re seeking a Front-End React Developer to support the design, development, and improvement of several new and existing web applications.This is a hybrid position located in Ottawa, Ontario.What You’ll CreateWe develop systems that integrate complex sensor interfaces, data, and equipment. We tie it all together using an assortment of middleware technologies and present it using innovative modern graphical user interfaces. Our user experiences provide application operators visualization of geospatial map and terrain data, imagery, video feeds, and sensor controls overlaid with real time data.We are seeking an experienced person with front-end experience on several Web application centric programs. As a member of a motivated and structured development team, you will contribute to the development and design of front end Web based software components (as a service).Duties Include:Working directly with customers to solve specific requirements.Design software solutions and contribute to software architecture designs using agile software development practices.When required, providing technical support to our sales activities.Improve the reliability and efficiency of our core product.Assisting with project proposal preparationCommunicate with the team through meetings, demos and documentation.Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites (~5%/year)You Have:A Canadian security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.A post-secondary degree or diploma in a field related to Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.2-5 years experience in Software Development.Developed front end Web based components using JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML5.Developed unit, integration, and E2E tests.Designed and developed microservices.Designed and integrated RESTful service APIs.Exposure to relational, NoSQL, and in memory databases (PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Redis).It will be great if you have:Experience with React and NodeJS.Experience or interest in leading a team.Experience and domain knowledge of geospatial technology.Experience and domain knowledge with one or more of Defence, ISR, and UAV applications and operations.Experience with Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).How to Apply:Visit our website www.kongsberggeospatial.com to learn more about us.
