Field Engineering Student - St. Albert Field Office (4 Months)

Term length:  4 months Term start:  May 2025 ( Mandatory safety training: First week of May 2025) Job location: St Albert, AB - Field Office Shift schedule: 5 x 2 - 8 hours (Monday - Friday) Safety sensitive position: Yes Key Accountabilities: Obtain baseline engineering experience and exposure in a wide variety of tasks while working with multidisciplinary teams and industry programs in a fast paced environment Develop skills in organizational reliability to identify opportunities to improve existing systems and reduce overall operating costs Perform optimization on light oil and heavy oil wells utilizing design programs and engineering principals to increase production Provide technical support for data analysis and the preparation of various reports Participate in field visits to perform facility audits, collect field data and participate in field driven projects What You Bring to The Role: Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an engineering degree program. Chemical, Mechanical, Energy, and Petroleum/Oil & Gas disciplines preferred. Previous experience operating in Oil & Gas preferred. Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license Motivated, takes initiative, collaborative, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities What We Offer: Competitive salary Students may be eligible for relocation assistance pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Student Relocation Policy.
