ROLE SUMMARY: In a general way, the professor's teaching load shall include: preparation of course outline; preparation of classes, labs and fieldwork; teaching classes; adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of corrections at the students’ request; participation in pedagogical days organized by the College; participation in departmental meetings and required activities.The college is seeking full-time and part-time professors to teach one or more of the following courses within our Electronics and Information Technology program for the Winter 2025 semester.243-D34-HR Digital Circuits III(2 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs and 3 hours of availability per week)This course focuses on the programming of an Altera FPGA, through the Quartus-brand software tools. Students already understand digital circuits but are using the FPGA for the first time. Lesson material and lab instructions have already been created, and only need to be modified.243-C34-HR Microprocessors II(2 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs and 3 hours of availability per week)This course focuses on C Programming basics as they apply to the Arduino IoT Nano33 micro controller. The course is centered around programming sensors and actuators connected to the Arduino Nano for the desired effect. Lesson material and lab instructions have already been created, and only need to be modified.243-C56-HR LabView Programming(2 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs and 3 hours of availability per week)This course focuses on National Instruments LABVIEW software. By the end of the course, students must implement a ‘hardware-in-the-loop’ scenario with multimeters/powersupplies/oscilloscopes, along with an Ardunio Nano IoT 33. Lesson material and lab instructions have already been created, and only need to be modified.243-E76-HR Networks IV(2 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs and 3 hours of availability per week)This course fully integrates the networking concepts covered in earlier courses under a practical scenario: the IT infrastructure for a medium scale business. Using hypervisors (and introducing VMware alongside Hyper-V), Windows and Linux servers, industry tools for backup and recovery (VEEAM), and both virtual and physical networking equipment, students will fully deploy, manage, and troubleshoot a complex network combining all elements. Also introducing WiFi APs, VoIP servers, and VoIP phones.Lesson material and lab instructions have already been created, and only need to be modified to suit the teacher. DUTIES:

Complete/Adapt a course Outline to explaining the level of effort and evaluation/teaching techniques to be used during the delivery of the course. Adapt existing class materials if required. Adapt existing lab materials if required. Teach class material while maintaining control of classroom. Supervise Labs (No Teaching Assistants (TAs). Support students outside of class. Correct and comment on all lab and exam material returned to students (as required). Adapt pedagogical methods to the students needs. Participate in College Pedagogical Days. Participate in Department coordination meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical engineering or science (or equivalent) is required. Fluency in English, both oral and written is required. Programming experience in C and/or C++ is required. Teaching experience at the undergraduate or college level would be considered an asset. Experience in soldering, bread boarding, circuit testing and troubleshooting would be considered an asset. Experience in Information Technology would be considered an asset. A working knowledge of French, oral and reading, would be an asset.

SALARY RANGE (PER YEAR): 54,661.00$ - 105,266.00$
