Our breathtaking Spa is 42,000 square feet and is rated one of the best spas in Canada according to Spa Magazines readers.What is in it for you:One complimentary meal per shift in our staff cafeteria (additional meals can be purchased for $4/meal)Employee travel program with discounts on room rates as well as on food & beverage at Fairmont & Accor properties world-wide Access to the Mountain Explorer Travel Program – exclusive room rates for colleagues, which includes 50% off all food & beverage when staying at Fairmont Resorts in Lake Louise, Jasper & Whistler (subject to availability)Comprehensive wellness platform for employee mental health and wellbeing support Discounts while using our resort’s Food & Beverage Outlets, Fitness Centre, Spa and Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Courses Automatically added to our resort’s Colleague Lifestyle Program which includes access to staff activities and eventsOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Banff Springs and over 5,000 properties with AccorWhat you will be doing:Reporting to the Spa Reservations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceAnswers telephone inquiries promptly and professionally and provide immediate and courteous telephone response when booking and scheduling Spa treatmentsResponds to common email and personal email – especially when in relation to guest requests - in a timely mannerBe knowledgeable about all aspects of Fairmont Spa Stream treatments and the facility to ensure guests are provided with accurate information and inquiries are responded to in complete detailEnsure that attention to detail is accurately maintained with each guest reservation and all guest requirements or issues are clearly stated to ensure effective pass onMeet and/or exceed booking quotas and promotions in the SpaWork in a non-supervised environment and take ownership for independent decisions made in the best interest of the guestCross train with Spa Experience Coordinators and Boutique Coordinator and assist at Spa Reception and the Spa Boutique as requiredHandle special assignmentsBecome proficient in Book 4 Time, and various other computer programs related to Spa Reservations officeAdherence to Spa Emergency Procedures/Safety ManualMaintain office files and recordsTo carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsYour experience and skills include:Previous reservation / reception experience is requiredMinimum of 1 year hotel experience requiredComputer literacy Book 4 Time, Word, Excel, Keyboard/Data entryEffective communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to demonstrate excellent phone etiquettePost Secondary education in Hotel/Hospitality industry or equivalent work experience in a Spa or Hotel setting is an assetEffective organization skillsHigh team orientation and desire for interaction with a diverse group of employees and guestsEmpathetic tendencies and compulsion to exceed guest and colleague expectationsSecond language an assetWilling to work shift work and varied days off on occasionConstant sitting and computer work throughout shift in Spa ReservationsConstant standing and walking throughout shift when assisting at Spa ReceptionAdditional InformationVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
