Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Architectural Technologist at 3rdLine.Studio Inc. located in Greater Sudbury, ON. The Senior Architectural Technologist will be responsible for technical drawing, creating working, architectural, and construction drawings on a day-to-day basis. Qualifications Diploma in Architectural Technology, Architectural Technician from an accredited Canadian Institution Minimum seven (7)+ years of experience working in an architectural office. Architectural Technology skills Technical Drawing, Working Drawings, and Architectural Drawings proficiency Construction Drawings expertise Advanced knowledge and experience with Revit software Experience in architectural design and project management Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Srong technical knowledge of building construction and the Ontario Building Code. Skills Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously Excellent oral and written communications skills Excellent Time Management Skills Experience with Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch up considered an asset Ability to work individually and as part of a team Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure project deadlines are met. Produce detailed construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D models in a collaborative team environment. Conduct Ontario Building Code analysis for various building types. Prepare documentation for city permit applications and apply local by-law and zoning requirements. Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other design professionals. Conduct as-built documentation and site verification. Producing and overseeing technical design and contract documents in compliance with Owner’s Statement of Requirements, in collaboration with project teams. Validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations. Provide technical design solutions for facility construction including interior and exterior assemblies. Coordinating internal production teams. Coordinating with project sub-consultants. Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff. Join Us in Designing the Future!
