Department: Vehicle Programs (20000049) – Automotive Engineering (30000385) Salary Information: $101,719.80 – $127,218.00 Pay Scale Group: 10SA Employment Type: Regular Weekly Hours: 35 Off Days: Saturday and Sunday Shift: Day Posted On: August 23, 2023 Last Day to Apply: September 12, 2023 Reports to: Chief Engineer, Vehicles General Accountability Reporting to the Chief Engineer, Vehicles, the Senior Engineer – Systems is responsible for managing the activities associated with vehicle systems engineering for vehicle projects. The work involves vehicle level system integration and collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines, as well as project management which includes budgeting, prototype development, preparation and issue of specifications, materials ordering, testing, and commissioning. Other responsibilities include investigating and diagnosing vehicle problems and its systems; recommending cost effective solutions relating to corrective measures, vehicle modifications, work methods, procedures, etc.; performing various analysis. Coordinates the systems engineering process; reviews and prepares a variety of technical reports and documents; works with and co-ordinates the work performed by external agencies.
