Our team is currently recruiting for a Director of Modular Transportation to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
This role will fully encompass all aspects of Scott-Woods Transport’s Modular Operations
Directly work with existing Modular Customers and Manufacturers to assist in pre-project design advice to optimize dimension’s for efficient transportation
Provide estimates and proposals for projects ranging from one load to multi-load applications.
Ability to take on oversight of these projects with the experience to directly manage the projects.
Coordinate project schedules , timelines, and requirements and relay this information to the Project Management team
Actively seek out new business opportunities in the Modular industry
Ability to visit the customers and review the modules prior to transportation and verify dimensions / loading applications required
Organize relevant subcontractor’s required in completing Modular projects ranging from cranes, to tradesman
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree or College Diploma from an accredited institution
5 years experience in a related industry (Construction, Transportation, Fabrication)
Previous estimating experience as well as putting together formal proposals
Ability to read and interpret site plans, engineered drawings
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and multitask
Previous customer facing experience on active construction sites, and pre-construction meetings.
Strong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to deliver results against targeted deadlines
Experienced in the use of spreadsheets, estimating and pricing models, and cost management tools.
