They are committed to high-quality design, exceptional client service, and incorporating sustainable design principles into their projects.Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Senior Building Technologist for their Victoria office. The ideal candidate will bring over 8 years of experience in the Canadian architectural industry and will be highly skilled in working with wood frame, multifamily projects. This role requires extensive experience in producing working drawings for at least 5 wood frame, multifamily projects in Canada that are 4-6 storey new builds, including putting together BP and IFC sets and coordinating with consultants.Key QualificationsExperience: Over 8 years of relevant experience in the Canadian architectural industry.Project Experience: Proven track record with working drawings for at least 5 wood frame, multifamily projects in Canada that are 4-6 storey new builds, including BP and IFC sets and coordination with consultants.Skills: Advanced Revit user with extensive experience in Revit.Additional Experience: Experience with design development, development permit (DP) applications, and rezoning would be considered an asset.Proficiency: Advanced skills in Revit, and high proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the BC Building Code (Part 3 and Part 9) and ASHRAE 90.1 (understanding of NECB is an asset).Understanding: Solid grasp of sustainable design considerations and familiarity with municipal approvals processes.Education: Completion of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program from a professionally recognized institution.Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a project team setting.Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.Alignment: Ability to articulate alignment with our client’s guiding principles.What Our Client Offers:An engaging and energetic work environment with an approachable management/ownership team.Recognition of hard work through Friday afternoon socials, office-wide lunches, social activities, and annual Family Day picnics.Health benefits and a hybrid work schedule.Client Values:Commitment to honesty, integrity, communication, leadership, and design excellence.Dedication to delivering projects that exceed client expectations.A casual yet hardworking business approach with an open-door policy.Support for non-profit organizations and community causes, including annual contributions to Drive for the Cure, the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation, and participation in charitable events like the Scotiabank 5km. #J-18808-Ljbffr
